· FICA should be a nonprofit organization.
· FICA should be a non-governmental organization (NGO) and completely independent from any ministry or government organization.
· FICA should not represent any company nor should it lobby for legislative or regulatory action.
· FICA should actively participate in African initiatives where it would contribute a number of projects.
· FICA should have a website as well as regional libraries where all information could be accessed by consumers, industries and academic institutions.
