FICA’s overall objective is to be internationally recognized as the African reference point for all scientific matters linked to food and food safety. The Council should be efficient, well-managed and should be a place where people want to work and develop.
FICA will review its priorities, management structure, and working procedures after five years in order to efficiently provide appropriate and pertinent scientific advice support the legislative and policy requirements and deliver its mandates.
